Are you Theatre Practitioner who is keen to develop your skills in a variety of specialities?  Do you want to develop your career your way?

Due to a growth in service, we have an exciting opportunity for a strong and self-motivated Theatre Nurse or ODP to join our team as a Theatre Practitioner.

You will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary Theatres team ensuring a high standard of clinical care and safety for patients within the theatre unit.

This role is ideally suited to a registered practitioner (Nurse or ODP) and who is patient oriented with a focus on continuous service improvement.

Role Responsibilities

• Work within the roles of a scrub practitioner, anaesthetic or recovery practitioner (once full training is given if required).
• Assess and implement patient care requirements and evaluate outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with other departments e.g. Outpatients and Imaging Department to ensure effective and smooth-running patient care.
• Ensure that patients’ comfort, dignity and privacy are maintained at all times.
• Ensure that your own practice and the practice of others is within an ethical and legal framework.

Person Specification

• Be a qualified and registered Practitioner (RN or ODP)
• Have evidence of continuous professional development and its application.
