LYCA Health Care have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Radiographer to join our imaging department as a Senior Radiographer.

Our multi-modality Imaging team work together to ensure that our patients receive the best clinical care in a modern hospital. LYCA Health Care provides diagnostic imaging for both NHS and private patients so experience in radiography in the public sector is beneficial.

As a Senior Radiographer, you will provide a high-quality Imaging service, predominantly to support the General x-ray and Theatre Radiography services. There will also be some requirement to support our CT, MRI, Cardiology and Nuclear Medicine services.

You will be a strong and empathetic senior clinician who is absolutely patient focussed, with a desire to inspire others, implement change and engage with stakeholders on all levels.

This is a full-time permanent position working 37.5 hours per week with a salary of £40,000 – £48,000 per annum.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Undertake general x-ray, mobile and theatre Radiography, including participating in the regular on call duties both weekdays and weekends.
  • To assist with the daily management of the scanners ensuring a high standard of service is provided to patients, consultants and visitors to the hospital.
  • To keep up to date with developments in imaging and to contribute to staff CPD
  • Act as an operator under the IRMER Radiation Regulations and assess the clinical justification of referrals to ensure that the benefit to the patient outweighs the radiation risk.
  • Actively encouraging collaborative working relationships with the administration teams to ensure radiology reports are processed quickly and efficiently.

Person Specification:

  • Have a Diploma from the College of Radiographers or BSc (Hons) Radiography with a valid HCPC registration
  • Extensive experience working in MRI and CT.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Be absolutely patient focused with a drive to offering the highest standard of patient care at all times
  • Be an expert in building relationships with an intuitive and persuasive style that enables you to easily engage with consultants, patients and the wider radiological faculty.
