We have vast experience in diagnosing and treating foot pain and ankle pain, and see many patients from a sporting background visit our clinics in Canary Wharf and Kent. You may be wondering why we see so many patients who work in sport, or have great involvement within it. This is because when doing sports, there is repetitive movement or high impact on the feet and/or ankles which can lead to foot or ankle injuries, resulting in discomfort and pain. Some of the common injuries can include a sprained ankle, broken or fractured bones and muscle or ligament damage. For those patients who have suffered a sports injury that is not specific to the foot or ankle, we recommend that they visit our sports injuries clinic.
However, it’s not just sports people who come to us with pain. Those who are regularly on their feet as part of their job, lift heavy weights, or have a genetic condition may also want to seek help from a foot specialist.
