Mr Abdul Kasem

Mr Kasem is working as a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast at the King’s College Hospitals NHS Trust. He has a special interest in Breast care (lumps, discharge), Breast Cancer and Breast Oncoplastic Surgery and Breast Reconstruction Surgery.

He is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the King’s College Medical School – University of London. He is one of the oncoplastic breast consultant surgeons at the London Breast Institute. He had training and experience in the Oncoplastic Breast Unit at the Princess Royal University Hospital. Mr Kasem spent 18 months as part-time secondment with the oncoplastic breast surgery team at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He joined South-East London Breast Cancer Screening at the King’s College University Hospital and the oncoplastic surgery team at St Thomas’ Hospital to perform the breast oncology procedures for breast cancer patients.
Mr Kasem has been to many international breast care and breast surgery centres participating in breast surgery master-classes and workshops. This has helped in mastering and refining his oncoplastic breast skills.
The surgical experience and training at these different breast surgery centres have given Mr Kasem the golden opportunity to gain high expertise and skills in breast care and breast surgery and the management of breast cancer. His Breast Surgery and Breast Oncoplastic Reconstruction skills include all breast cancer surgery procedures, breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast mastopexy (uplift), breast lipo-modelling and lipo-filling with fat grafting, immediate and delayed breast reconstruction and nipple reconstruction. Mr Kasem has been to the European Institute of Oncology in Milan and many international breast surgery centres to expand his skills in oncoplastic breast surgery. Mr Kasem is on the specialist GMC register as an accredited consultant surgeon.
Mr Kasem has published many original articles in peer-review journals covering different hot topics of breast care, breast surgery and breast cancer management.
