Senior Radiographer / Mammographer

Location: Lyca Health Orpington

Hours: 40 Hours Per Week

Shifts: Between Monday and Sunday 07.30 – 20.30

Contract: Permanent

Starting Salary: £40,000-£42,500 per annum (depends on experience)

You will work on rotation carrying out diagnostic imaging in a range of modalities including Mammography, MRI, CT, X-Ray and Theatre

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Radiographer you will:

  • Undertake Screening and symptomatic mammograms
  • Undertake MRI CT, general x-ray and Theatre activity as required.
  • Act as an Operator under the IR(ME)R Radiation Regulations and assess the clinical justification of referrals.
  • Actively participate in quality improvements and audits.
  • Mentor junior staff and deputise for the Lead Radiographer as required.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Valid HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Mammography
  • Have extensive post qualification experience including proficiency in Mammography.
  • Have evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in MRI
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Have post qualification experience in CT/XR/Theatre
  • Have experience working on Philips and GE Imaging equipment.
