Healthcare Assistant – Outpatients

Site: Lyca Health Orpington

Hours: 40 Hours per week

Shifts: Monday to Sunday 08.00 – 20.00 on a rota basis

Salary: £26,436.80 per annum.

Are you an experienced Healthcare Assistant or a Care Assistant in a healthcare setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our Outpatients Department at Lyca Health, Orpington.

As a Healthcare Assistant at Lyca Health, Orpington you will be a key member of our multi-disciplinary Outpatient team, carrying out procedures including wound care, phlebotomy, minor ops along with some gynae and urology procedures.

The Department operates 08.00 -20.00 between Monday and Sunday and you will work flexibly to cover days, evenings, and weekends.

Role Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in treatment room duties such as ECG, Phlebotomy, Dressings and Assisting on Minor Operations
  • Treat patients with respect and dignity and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality at all times
  • Chaperone patients within various specialities
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care.

Person Specification:

  • NVQ qualification at level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent
  • Have experience as a Care Assistant in a healthcare setting
  • Be enthusiastic with a real interest in caring for people
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
