Mr Sudhir Rao qualified in Mumbai at the University of Bombay (MBBS) in 1985, where following a three year training scheme passed the Master of Surgery in Orthopaedics exam. In the UK he trained at the Wessex Region Orthopaedic Training Scheme and was awarded the MCh(Orthopaedics)degree by the University of Liverpool in 1991.

He also passed the FRCS(Ed) and FRCS(Glas) exams during his training and following his senior registrar training in the North-West region was awarded the FRCS(Orthopaedics) in 1996. He was awarded the FRCS (Eng) ad eundem.

He has been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 1997 and has 20 years experience in the field. Sudhir has a special interest in Sports injuries of the Knee, Hip and Shoulder and has expertise in football, rugby, gym and skiing injuries.

He has performed numerous Knee Hip and Shoulder arthroscopy (keyhole), ligament surgery and replacement procedures and has expertise in choosing the right type of surgery based on the clinical need and strives hard to meet the patient’s expectations.
