Mr Omar Dawood is a UK-trained Consultant in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery who joined Queen Victoria Hospital in 2023. He has extensive international experience and graduated from the University of Mosul, where he completed his initial medical and higher surgical training in plastic surgery. He was awarded a prestigious scholarship in recognition of his outstanding academic performance.

He later moved to the UK to complete his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and continue his specialist training in plastic surgery across several leading hospitals. Following his specialist examinations, he undertook advanced subspecialty training in trauma and lower limb reconstruction, breast surgery and microsurgery. He has also gained additional expertise in aesthetic surgery through work in the Middle East.

In addition to his role at Queen Victoria Hospital, Mr Dawood supports clinical teams at Tunbridge Wells Hospital, providing specialist input for complex cases.

He holds the Intercollegiate Fellowship in Plastic Surgery (FRCS Plast) and is a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery. He is also listed on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery.
