Neurologist
Dr Johnathan Chan is a London-trained Neurologist. He is a consultant at Maidstone Hospital in Kent and an Honorary Consultant at King’s College Hospital in London. He has expertise in all areas of general neurology and he sees a wide range of neurological conditions including Headache, Migraine, Vertigo, Tremor, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Neuropathy, and Parkinson’s Disease.
In addition, Dr Chan also has a sub-speciality interest in Cognitive Disorders and he routinely sees and treats patients who suffer from Dementia or from other causes of Cognitive Impairment. He established the Cognitive Neurology Service in Kent in 2015 and provides state-of-the-art diagnostic services for people with Young Onset Dementia and atypical forms of Dementia. In recognition, he was awarded a Clinical Excellence Award in 2018.
Dr Chan graduated in London, completed a sub-internship in Internal Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in America with honours, trained at the National Hospital for Neurology in London and was awarded a distinction for his MSc in Cognitive Neuropsychology at UCL, exploring neural mechanisms underlying memory and emotion.
