Dr. Aathavan Loganayagam specialises in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with particular expertise in complex inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastrointestinal cancers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and liver disorders. He is dedicated to providing personalised care, using the latest treatments to support patients with digestive conditions.
Training & Background:
Dr. Loganayagam trained at Guy’s, King’s, and St Thomas’ Medical Schools before completing specialist training in gastroenterology and internal medicine through the South London programme. He went on to spend two years as a research and endoscopy fellow at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, with a focus on pharmacogenetics, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and gastrointestinal cancer.
He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has received several awards for his research, including the NHS Innovation London Award. Dr. Loganayagam currently serves as the lead clinician for endoscopy at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, where he continues to advance his expertise and teach others in the field.
