Dr. Aathavan Loganayagam specialises in both diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, with particular expertise in managing complex inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), gastrointestinal cancers, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), and liver conditions. He is passionate about using personalised treatment strategies and the latest therapies to help patients with digestive disorders.
Training & Background:
Dr. Loganayagam trained at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Medical Schools before going on to complete specialist training in gastroenterology and internal medicine as part of the South London programme. He then spent two years at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals as a research and endoscopy fellow, focusing on pharmacogenetics, IBD, and gastrointestinal cancer.
He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals and has received multiple awards, including the NHS Innovation London Award, for his contributions to research. Dr. Loganayagam is currently the lead clinician for endoscopy at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, where he continues to develop his expertise and educate others in the field.
