Mr Sivaprakasam is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee replacement surgery, as well as soft tissue knee reconstruction. Following his specialist training in South East England, he completed advanced fellowship training at internationally recognised centres including the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, St Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Canada, and King’s College Hospital London. His fellowship training focused on joint replacement surgery, soft tissue knee reconstruction and complex trauma.

His NHS practice is based at Dartford and Gravesham NHS Trust, where he serves as Clinical Lead for Surgical Site Infection. Alongside his clinical work, he has been involved in numerous clinical research studies, has published in peer-reviewed journals, and is actively engaged in teaching medical students, surgical trainees and orthopaedic registrars.

Mr Sivaprakasam treats a wide range of orthopaedic conditions, including complex lower limb trauma, and has particular expertise in minimally invasive hip replacement surgery and partial knee replacement. He is also a strong advocate of day-case joint replacement pathways, helping patients return home safely and recover more quickly following surgery.
