Mr Gihan Jayasinghe is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with extensive experience in hip and knee surgery, including joint replacement and advanced arthroplasty techniques. Raised in Kent, he studied medicine at St George’s Medical School and completed an MSc in Musculoskeletal Sciences at University College London, achieving credit and distinction respectively.
He has been working in orthopaedics since 2011, completing his specialist training on the Kent, Surrey and Sussex rotation. During his training, he received academic prizes and bursaries and presented research at international orthopaedic conferences. Following this, he undertook a fellowship at the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre, learning advanced procedures under some of the UK’s leading surgeons, including direct anterior approach hip replacements, computer navigated knee replacements and revision hip surgery.
Mr Jayasinghe is dedicated to improving patients’ quality of life and wellbeing through hip and knee surgery. He is known for his caring, meticulous approach and commitment to delivering excellent outcomes. Outside of work, he enjoys sport and fitness, managing a children’s football team and spending time travelling with his family.
