Dr Aparna Bhat is a highly experienced Consultant Dermatologist with more than 23 years of practice across two continents. She treats both adults and children in the NHS and private sectors, offering expert care for a wide range of skin conditions.
Her specialist interests include skin cancer and cutaneous allergy. She provides mole checks, assessment of suspected skin cancers and management of common conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, hair loss, nail disorders, hidradenitis suppurativa and vulval dermatoses. Dr Bhat is also skilled in treating acute presentations, including drug rashes and erythroderma, and cares for patients across all skin types (Fitzpatrick I–VI).
As an accomplished Dermatosurgeon, Dr Bhat regularly performs procedures such as the excision of moles, skin cancers and benign skin lesions, as well as cryotherapy, radio cautery and intralesional steroid injections for keloids and alopecia areata.
Alongside her clinical practice, she serves as Skin Cancer MDT Chair and has developed a teledermatology pathway to help reduce two-week-wait times. She has also led a cutaneous allergy service within the NHS, attends specialist meetings and remains actively engaged in research and medical education.
Dr Bhat has experience in aesthetic dermatology, having worked at Kaya Skin Clinic in India, and can provide advice on aesthetic treatments where appropriate. She is passionate about delivering evidence-based, patient-focused care.
