Mr Shwetal Dighe is a Consultant Upper GI Surgeon specialising in laparoscopic surgery and thyroid surgery.

He was appointed at Darent Valley Hospital as an Upper GI surgeon and was responsible for setting up a new service in the hospital offering complex gall bladder surgery. This includes laparoscopic bile duct exploration, anti-reflux surgery and hiatal hernia repair and laparoscopic hernia surgery.

Mr Dighe has spent two years in research and has an MD degree from the London University. He is also the surgical audit lead in the hospital and pursues his academic interests by presenting in national conferences.
