I trained at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London and qualified with a Bachelor in Science Degree in Basic Medical Sciences and Biochemistry, along with MBBS London in 1995.
I completed my Master of Science Degree with a thesis looking at day case haemorrhoidal surgery. Having gained MRCS England, I was appointed as Specialist Registrar on the South East Thames Higher Surgical Training Rotation. After three years I took an inter deanery transfer to work at the world-renowned Pelican Centre in Basingstoke
Having gained FRCS Gen Surg in 2005, I was appointed as a Substantive Consultant Surgeon to Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust in November 2005, taking up my post after a Fellowship in Laparoscopic Surgery in Winchester in April 2006.
Since becoming a Consultant, I have held many positions both locally and nationally including:

- Member for the Local Negotiating Committee
- Speciality Surgical Tutor for Surgery
- Royal College of Surgeons Clinical Tutor
- Instructor for the RCS Critically Ill Surgical Patient Course
- Chair of the Same Day Emergency Surgical Care Group
- Regional Salvage Anal Cancer Lead
- Director of Surgical Services of Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust
- Chair of the Medical Advisory Committee at KIMS
After almost thirty years of working within the NHS, I am now dedicated to providing both private and NHS treatment of the highest quality to the people of Kent, Sussex and beyond.
I am married with three children and in my spare time I enjoy sports of all varieties, particularly cricket and rugby, restoring old cars, travelling and hill walking.
