Breast ultrasound is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves to create images of the breast tissue. It is a valuable tool for evaluating breast abnormalities, such as lumps, cysts, and masses. Ultrasound can also be used to guide biopsies and other procedures.
A breast ultrasound machine emits sound waves that travel through the breast tissue. These waves bounce off tissues and organs, and the echoes are picked up by a transducer. The transducer sends these echoes to a computer, which converts them into images.
