Chest Pain – £1900

If you are suffering from chest pain, chest tightness or are concerned about the possibility of underlying coronary heart        disease then this package will help us to identify whether you have developed heart disease and will help us to guide you towards further management if needed.

Breathlessness – £1300

If you are suffering from shortness of breath and are finding that you wake up from your sleep to catch your breath, then this could be a symptom of heart failure. This package will determine if the cause of breathlessness is related to a heart condition or whether an onward referral to a respiratory (lung) specialist is required.

Palpitations – £1600

Although the majority of palpitations are not sinister, it is essential to have this screen if your palpitations persist, to exclude more dangerous heart rhythm abnormalities.

Hypertension – £1500

Hypertension or high blood pressure symptoms are usually unnoticeable however without a heart screen, your condition can increase the risk of serious problems like a heart attack or stroke.  If you suspect you have high blood pressure it is important you have this screen to help, make a diagnosis or guide you to manage the condition.

Syncope – £1600

Syncope is the medical term for a temporary drop in the blood flow to the brain that causes blackouts or fainting.

If you suffer from fainting, dizziness or light headedness these could be symptoms of a heart rhythm disorder. This package will help us to determine if your symptoms are related to a heart rhythm disorder and if follow up treatment is necessary.

Heart Check Up Tests

• ECG (Electrocardiogram) – ECGs provide an easy and painless way to check the rhythm and electrical signals in the heart. As part of this test, we’ll attach sensors to the skin to help us monitor the electrical signals your heart produces each time it beats. The purpose of this heart check is to identify irregularities in a person’s heartbeat, spot the signs of coronary heart disease, see if the heart walls have become thickened or enlarged, as well as helping to check for a range of other heart conditions.
• CT Scan for Coronary Calcium Score – Using a CT scan, we will generate a picture of your arteries to check for calcium deposits (generating a CT calcium score). This is important as too much calcium can restrict blood flow to your heart, posing serious consequences. If we spot a high level of calcified plaque early, we’ll be able to identify possible coronary artery disease before more noticeable signs prevent themselves.
• Private Echocardiogram – Otherwise known as an echo, this type of scan offers a non-invasive method of producing detailed images of the heart’s structure. An echo helps a doctor to check on the structure of the heart, its surrounding blood vessels and even enables us to get an understanding of how blood flows through the heart. This type of heart check-up helps us to spot a range of cardiovascular issues.
• 7 Day Zio Patch – This cardiac monitoring device is a small patch that monitors and records your heartbeat, whether you’re resting, eating, exercising or even showering. The purpose of this heart check is to help us understand how your heart is performing in your everyday life; an insight we wouldn’t be able to get solely from your trip to our clinic.
• CT Coronary Angiogram (incl. calcium score) – Using a CT scanner, this heart check enables us to gain a look into the heart’s blood vessels to see if there is a restriction in blood flow that is going to the heart. This is an excellent diagnostic tool for a range of cardiac conditions.
• Holter Monitoring (24-hour Holter) – This type of heart test involves you wearing a portable ECG for a 24 hour period. Compared to a normal ECG, this can help us to detect heart rhythm abnormalities that may not have been picked up during your ECG in the LycaHealth clinic.
• Exercise Stress Test – The aim of this test is to raise your heart rate, either through exercise or medication, to see how your heart responds. We’ll look at your heart rate, blood pressure and record the electrical activity of the heart through an ECG.
