Mr Paul Jairaj is an internationally trained, London-based Consultant Hip and Knee Orthopaedic Surgeon with over eighteen years experience, leading the way with the most advanced proven treatment option.
Paul is one of the only surgeons globally performing all of his hip arthroscopic and femoroacetabular surgery through mini-capsular incisions.
He was at the forefront of Anatomic Anterior Cruciate Ligament reconstruction surgery in the UK.
He performs the latest cartilage restoration and repair techniques utilising various injectables and progenitor (stem) cell techniques which are advocated at the International Cartilage Repair Society meetings.
Paul is one of UK’s first surgeons to pioneer the use of 3D planned patient specific custom prostheses for Hip and Knee Replacements and has the largest combined experience in the UK of these two procedures.
He is one of the only UK surgeons performing the Subchondroplasty procedure, offering patients another option to joint replacement surgery.
These innovative techniques lead to faster recovery, improved function and better outcomes in his patients and are always in conjunction with a multidisciplinary professional approach.
Paul’s surgical training was on the prestigious Imperial College Scheme followed by Fellowships at Centers of Excellence across the United States and the elite Clinique du Sport in Bordeaux, France. He is Faculty for Surgeon training in the many techniques mentioned above, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, an International Affiliate member of The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, a member of the International Cartilage Repair Society, a member of the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy, and a member of the British Association of Surgeons of the Knee and the British Medical Association
