Dr Kare Tang has been practising in the UK since 2002, and has received specialist training around cardiology in numerous world-renowed institutions including Papworth Hospital Cambridge, Prince of Wales Hospital Hong Kong and more.

Dr Tang has a broad yet specific knowledge within numerous areas of cardiology. He is a national expert in complex coronary intervention and are one of the few interventionalist who is able to open up chronically occluded coronary arteries which are deemed unsuitable for surgery. He also carries out non-invasive investigations. His current NHS appointment is in Colchester, Ipswich and at the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre where he is on the Heart attack rota. He is a proctor for coronary stent treatment where he assists other consultant colleagues to master complex techniques. He has outstanding safety records beyond national standards.

Dr Tang also has numerous research interests around coronary artery disease, and is a principal investigator for numerous major trials that are currently ongoing.
