Dr Adam Harris

Consultant Physician & Gastroenterologist

Adam Harris is a Consultant Physician & Gastroenterologist. He graduated from Charing Cross & Westminster Medical School in 1987 after completing an intercalated degree in physiology.  After training in general medicine & gastroenterology in London & the Home Counties, he worked in research investigating Helicobacter pylori & was awarded an MD in 1995. He was Senior Registrar to Professor David Silk where he developed expertise in Irritable Bowel Syndrome & other functional gut disorders. In 1997 he was appointed to the Kent & Sussex Hospital, Tunbridge Wells where he worked until 2017.

Dr Harris works full time in the independent sector in Canary Wharf, the City of London, Sevenoaks & Tunbridge Wells. He has interests in IBS, reflux, bloating & small intestine bacterial overgrowth. He is a keen advocate of the use of diet, pre- & probiotics.
