Business Development Manager
£65,000 + Bonus | Canary Wharf | Senior Role
Lyca Health Canary Wharf is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across our flagship London diagnostic centre.
The Business Development Manager is a senior, strategic role responsible for driving sustainable growth across Lyca Health Canary Wharf. The post holder will develop and deliver growth initiatives focused on partnerships, stakeholder relationships and service development, strengthening Lyca Health’s position within the London private healthcare market.
This role requires strong London market knowledge, the credibility to engage senior stakeholders, and the ability to translate strategy into measurable commercial outcomes.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing and delivering growth initiatives across:
- Partnerships and external stakeholder engagement
- Identification and launch of new services and opportunities
This role is externally facing, highly relationship-driven and requires credibility with senior clinicians and stakeholders. There are no finance or accounting responsibilities — the focus is purely on growth, engagement and strategic development.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
- Develop and deliver a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with Board objectives
- Identify and secure new growth opportunities across allied health professionals, corporates and other stakeholders
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities, ensuring consistent delivery against agreed targets
- Identify market gaps and opportunities for new services, pathways and propositions
- Represent Lyca Health Canary Wharf externally at meetings, events and networking opportunities
Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key stakeholders to support activity growth
- Support effective onboarding and integration of new service partners, working closely with operational and clinical teams
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholder engagement, resolving barriers to growth and service delivery
- Work collaboratively with senior stakeholders to align activity with capacity and service priorities
Partnerships & External Relationships
- Develop partnerships with corporates, insurers, sports organisations and other third parties where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with marketing colleagues to support campaigns, events and brand presence
- Maintain a clear understanding of the competitive London healthcare landscape and positioning
Leadership & Governance
Act as a senior ambassador for Lyca Health values, behaviours and patient-first culture
- Provide mentorship and leadership support to colleagues involved in business development activity
- Ensure all activity is compliant with regulatory, governance and information governance requirements
- Prepare and present clear, concise reports and updates to the Board on performance, opportunities and risks

Essential Experience & Skills
Significant experience in a senior business development role within private healthcare
- Strong knowledge of the London healthcare market
- Demonstrable ability to build senior stakeholder relationships with credibility and influence
- Experience developing and delivering growth strategies
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
- Strong commercial awareness and results-focused mindset
Desirable
- Degree educated or equivalent professional experience
- Experience working within diagnostic, outpatient or hospital environments
- Understanding of PMI and self-pay healthcare markets
- Strategic, confident and commercially astute
- Highly professional, credible and relationship-driven
