Mr Venkatesh Subramanian

Mr Venkatesh Subramanian is a highly esteemed Consultant Gynaecologist specialising in reproductive medicine, he is also an honorary senior lecturer at King’s College London.

He has extensive experience in the field of hysteroscopy and is the RCOG regional preceptor for hysteroscopy training for the whole of South London. He has a special interest in hysteroscopy for patients undergoing fertility treatment.

Mr Subramanian also has expertise in advanced ultrasound including ultrasound for the diagnosis of endometriosis adenomyosis ovarian cysts and uterine fibroids, 3D gynaecological ultrasound and ultrasound assessment of fallopian tube patency (HyCoSy). He receives tertiary referrals from other consultants and hospitals for diagnosing endometriosis on ultrasound. He also has a special interest in fertility investigation and treatment in women with endometriosis including IVF and egg freezing for endometriosis. His skills in advanced ultrasound have been independently accredited by both the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and the British Fertility Society.

Mr Subramanian completed his medical degree at University of Nottingham in 2010, followed by his training in the renowned South London rotation, which included prestigious institutions such as King’s College Hospital and Guy’s Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital. During his training, he became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in recognition of his proficiency in the medical and surgical management of infertility, complications of early pregnancy, and hysteroscopic surgery. He also holds an MPhil in reproductive surgical simulation.

Mr Subramanian later completed a senior clinical fellowship in reproductive medicine at King’s Fertility. During this fellowship he developed advanced skills in assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedures, including egg collection, intrauterine insemination and embryo transfer. His exceptional competence in the field led to independent accreditation of his skills and expertise by the British Fertility Society.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Subramanian is an active academic and clinical researcher. His research has been published in esteemed journals such as the British Medical Journal (BMJ), BJOG (British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology), and Human Reproduction. In addition, he has presented his work at conferences both nationally and internationally, winning several prizes for his contributions.

Beyond his clinical and research expertise, Mr Subramanian remains actively engaged in audit, training, and medical education. His commitment to staying at the forefront of medical knowledge and sharing his expertise ensures that he continuously contributes to the growth and development of the medical community.
