Mr Venkatesh Subramanian

Mr Venkatesh Subramanian is a highly experienced Consultant Gynaecologist specialising in reproductive medicine and hysteroscopic surgery at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and King’s Fertility. He serves as Clinical Lead for Hysteroscopy at both King’s Fertility and King’s College Hospital and oversees hysteroscopy training in his role as RCOG preceptor for South London.

He also has particular expertise in advanced gynaecological ultrasound, including the diagnosis of endometriosis, 3D ultrasound imaging, and assessment of fallopian tube patency (HyCoSy). His proficiency in advanced ultrasound techniques has been formally recognised by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the British Fertility Society.

Mr Subramanian was awarded an Honorary Senior Lectureship by King’s College London. His commitment to remaining at the forefront of clinical research ensures that patients receive safe, individualised effective care.

He graduated from the University of Nottingham and completed his specialist training within the prestigious South London rotation, including King’s College Hospital and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, both internationally renowned teaching institutions. He became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and subsequently achieved specialist certification in the medical and surgical management of infertility, early pregnancy complications, and hysteroscopic surgery. He also holds an MPhil in reproductive surgical simulation.

Following his core training, Mr Subramanian undertook a senior clinical fellowship in reproductive medicine at King’s Fertility. During this time, he developed advanced expertise in assisted reproductive technology (ART), including egg collection, intrauterine insemination, and embryo transfer — competencies independently accredited by the British Fertility Society.

Alongside his clinical practice, he is an active academic and clinical researcher. His work has been published in leading journals, including the British Medical Journal, British Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and Human Reproduction. Furthermore, Mr Subramanian is the senior author for the national British Fertility Society guideline “Management of endometrial polyps in fertility”. He regularly lectures at national and international conferences in the field of assisted conception and hysteroscopy and has received several awards for his contributions to the field.
