Lycahealth has an exciting opportunity for a nurse to join our new Mammography Service as a Breast Care Nurse. We are looking to appoint a self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic, and reliable individual.
The role will require you to have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and should also possess good facilitation and IT skills. You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team, having excellent clinical skills to deliver exceptional standards of care for all patients and their families.
This is a new and exciting service and the teamwork within our mammography service is to provide specialist breast care services, advice, guidance, and treatment for patients within the service.
A Breast Care Nurse acts as a resource to facilitate and co-ordinate the holistic care and treatment of patients referred to the breast service and will work within a multidisciplinary team of nurses, surgeons, radiologists, radiographers, oncologists, and pathologists. They provide physical & psychological care to patients & carers from diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation, and they act as an information resource to patients, carers and other health professionals.
