Ms Rahab Awad qualified as a medical doctor, graduated from Cairo University in 1996, and studied for her Masters in Phoniatric Science (Speech and Language Therapy and Laryngology) for the following 3 years at the same time.
In 2004, she studied at University College London for Post-Grad Diploma in Voice Pathology. She joined the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and was recognised by the Health Professionals Council as a qualified Speech & Language Therapist which has gained her the right to practice in the UK. In 2008, she gained an MD in Phoniatric Science from Cairo university. She has been practicing voice therapy since 2001 both in Egypt and in the UK.
She has been the clinical lead Speech & Language Therapist at University Hospital Lewisham since 2009 and associate professor of Phoniatric at Kasr Alaini Hospital, Cairo University since 2016.
