Dr Najma Khan-Bourne is a consultant clinical neuropsychologist. She has worked within the NHS and has also set up a private practice called Neuropsychology London (www.neurolondon.org.uk) She completed her training at the Universities of Leeds and Sheffield and the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London. Najma qualified in 2001 and since then has gained extensive experience working in hospitals including the Bethlem and Maudsley and King’s College. A chartered member of the British Psychological Society Division of Neuropsychology, she has achieved the society’s Qualification in Clinical Neuropsychology (QiCN) which is considered to be the gold standard in clinical neuropsychology.
Najma is involved in teaching and training in clinical neuropsychology and has had work published and is currently in working parties for NICE and the RCP. Her clinical interests are in acquired brain injuries (for example, head injury, post concussion, stroke, anoxic brain injury) and the dementias. Najma carries out neuropsychological assessments and rehabilitation and also carries out expert witness work. She is registered with the HCPC.
