Dr James Sarkodieh is a Consultant Radiologist at Barts Health NHS Trust and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in the Centre for Sports & Exercise Medicine, William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary University of London. He obtained his primary medical degree at Barts and the London, passing with Distinction. He also undertook an intercalated degree in Sports & Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary, University of London.
He undertook his Radiology speciality training at the Barts and the London scheme. He has obtained the European Diploma of Musculoskeletal Radiology and a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine. This broad knowledge, in combination with his experience in semi-professional football, gives him a unique insight into the mechanisms of injury, diagnosis and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions.
In his regular practice, he interprets a wide range of MRI, CT, X-ray and ultrasound studies. He is proficient in ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal injections and regularly treats patients alongside his Sports & Exercise Medicine colleagues in the clinical setting.
